Transformers: Cyberverse Warrior Class Soundwave

Soundwave

Vehicle Mode: I love Soundwave’s vehicle mode. He could have used a few more paint apps. Other than that, the only issue is that it looks like his cannon should be able to rotate. Unfortunately, it can’t. That gray door is enclosing his robot head. No way to rotate the gun without exposing that. It’s not a major thing.

Robot Mode: Soundwave is awesome in robot mode. His head sculpt is a bit of a departure from Soundwave, but it’s still clear who he is meant to be, and I really like it. The only issue is that his shoulder cannon cannot be pointed straight. It is the switch that releases Laserbeak, who cannot be removed from Soundwave’s chest. Once Laserbeak is popped out, you can point his shoulder cannon forward.

Overall: Soundwave is a great toy. I can’t say much for Laserbeak sticking out of his chest. Not sure why he wasn’t just a separate piece that could come out.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
