Transformers: Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy Rescan Series Wave 21 (Blades VTOL, Salvage Cement Truck), Series 22 (Bumblebee Variant), and Series 23 (Hot Shot and Wedge)
Blades (VTOL)
Blades is a VTOL (Vertical TakeOff and Landing) jet. He has great paint apps in both modes. I really like his vehicle design.
Salvage (Cement Truck)
Salvage looks awesome in cement truck mode. His colors are great. I don’t really like his robot mode. His arms don’t connect at his shoulders. It makes him look very odd.
Bumblebee
The Bumblebee released as Wave 22 is a variant. In vehicle mode the white Autobot logo on his roof was removed, and red Autobot logo’s added to his doors. He now has two black stripes on his hood to match his roof stripes. He previously had one thick stripe in the middle of his hood. They failed to paint his rear side windows. In robot mode the silver paint on his knees and the yellow paint on his crotch have been removed. The new black stripes on his hood are visible on his shoulders. This Bumblebee variant may be the last Rescue Bots toy in the Rescan Series, as the next wave is Rescue Bots Academy.
Hot Shot
Hot Shot’s jet mode is very cool. I love the design, and his colors are perfect. His robot mode looks pretty great, but if you want to be technical, all three of his alternate modes do not have unique robot modes, so his robot mode shouldn’t be a different design from any other Hot Shot. Of course, it is different.
Wedge
Wedge is repainted and remolded from Arctic Rescue Boulder. Poor Wedge doesn’t even get his own new mold. Colors are perfect and I love the head sculpt.
Overall: I recommend Blades and Hot Shot. Wedge is fine.
