Blog #1453: Toy Review: Transformers: Legends Deluxe Windblade & Targetmaster Pointech

Transformers: Legends Deluxe Windblade & Targetmaster Pointech

Legends Deluxe Windblade is repainted from Transformers: Generations Deluxe Windblade. Headmaster Windblade is repainted from Titan Master Scorchfire. She comes with a new mold Targetmaster, Pointech. Read my review of the USA Windblade & Titan Master Scorchfire here.

Headmaster Windblade

Windblade has slightly different paint apps on her face, but the sculpt is unchanged. I do prefer the Japanese version. In robot mode she has additional paint apps as well.

Pointech

Pointech looks great. I love these Targetmasters.

Windblade

The paintjob on Windblade in a huge improvement over the USA version. I love the brighter red and white painted VTOL fans. Not sure I like the white on the jet nose, but it’s overall a much better looking toy than the USA version. The one thing that sucks is the sword. They used the sword from the first Generations Windblade toy. It has no way to attach to her in jet mode that doesn’t look completely stupid.

Overall: I definitely recommend the Japanese version of Windblade.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
