Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) McDonald’s Toys 2016 (Bumblebee, Grimlock, Optimus Prime, Strongarm)

A set of five McDonald’s toys came out in January in Australia.  They were apparently difficult to find even when they promotion was going on.  More recently four of the five toys came out in Europe.  They did not release Drift in Europe, and I’m still trying to track one down.

Bumblebee

I’m not sure why they gave Bumblebee wings instead of a weapon like the rest have.

Grimlock

Grimlock looks kind of awesome.  He has a giant missile launcher on his back.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime comes with a sword and is nicely painted for a McDonald’s toy.

Strongarm

Strongarm looks pretty good.  I love the enormous missile launcher.

Overall: About what you’d expect from McDonald’s toys.  Now to find a Drift…

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.

My son loves this set so much. He enjoys interchanging their weapons haha! Also, we didn’t have Drift too here in the Philippines.
