Mirage is remolded and repainted from Combiner Wars Deluxe Stunticon Dragstrip.

Vehicle Mode: Mirage looks pretty great in vehicle mode.  He’s not quite perfect as he doesn’t really have a spoiler, but that’s not a huge thing.  He’s nicely painted, and really great toy.

Robot Mode: Mirage’s robot mode is nicely painted.  The only thing wrong with him is his head sculpt.  He has this ridiculously pointed chin with a crease in the center.  It looks ridiculous.  The G1 toy and box art has a pronounced chin, but it’s wide and looks nothing like this.  The G1 animation has no pronounced chin.  I really don’t know what the hell they were thinking with that chin.

Overall: overall Mirage is pretty cool, but that head sculpt just leaves me scratching my head.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
