Transformers: Hero Mashers Basic Bumblebee, Drift, Springer, and Starscream

Transformers: Hero Mashers (which I thought were to be called Robot Mashers) are finally here.  Obviously they don’t transform, but there is a lot to like about these.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee looks very cool.  He seems to be loosely based the most recent Generations toy.  I really like the head sculpt.

Drift

Age of Extinction Drift looks great.  That head sculpt is awesome, and I love the swords.

Springer

This was a surprise.  I would have thought we would have gotten more major characters, but Springer looks pretty great.  The wheels molded into his legs makes it pretty clear that whoever designed these was working from a Generations toy instead of the G1, which is unfortunate.

Starscream

Starscream looks amazing.  I just wish he had actual detachable guns rather than the ones molded to his forearms.  He’s right out of G1 and my favorite of the four.

Overall: I like these, but the mixing and matching of parts does nothing for me.  Kids will probably enjoy that though, especially as you can mix and match with Marvel Hero Mashers.
