Transformers: Age of Extinction Deluxe High Octane Bumblebee
Vehicle Mode: I’m not sure why they called him High Octane Bumblebee. If he took the classic car mode to hide, they should have called him evasion mode like they did Optimus Prime. That would have made sense. High Octane is just a random name. Bumblebee is a modified 1967 Camaro. I love the look of the car. I love the black with the yellow around the front and on the spoiler. My only complaint is that he is a little small, especially in comparison to Crosshairs. They do not look at all in scale next to each other. This doesn’t usually bother me, but it’s just so obvious.
Robot Mode: I’m not a huge fan of his robot mode. His chest just doesn’t look right, like his head is sitting on a pole. Colors look nice and I like the head sculpt. His transformation is complex without making him a puzzle-former. Kind of nice to transform a Bumblebee toy without letting loose a string of swears.
Overall: It’s not a bad toy, but that robot mode just doesn’t look right. Still, the car is great. Considering how many Bumblebees everyone has by now, unless you’re a completist or collect Bumblebees, you can probably skip this one. Previous Bumblebees would look more in scale with Crosshairs anyway.
