Blog #363: Toy Reviews: Transformers Cap Bots Captimus Prime and Capticon

Transformers Cap Bots Captimus Prime and Capticon

Last year Takara-Tomy released the Cap Bots.  No, I don’t get it either, so I’m just going to review them and not waste time trying to make sense of their existence.

Captimus Prime & Capticon

Vehicle Mode: They’re hats.  I got nothing.

Robot Mode: I must admit, they do have pretty good Robot modes.  The two molds are identical accept for their faces, and both look pretty great.  They have really nice paint apps.  I don’t understand why if they were doing Captimus Prime they did Capticon rather than Capatron in gray and black with a Megatron-like head.

Overall: For $25 each they’re fairly cheap, but if you’re not a completist, you may want to skip them.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
