Blog #227: Toy Reviews: Transformers: Dark of the Moon Robo Fighters Nightwatch Optimus Prime & Elite Guard Bumblebee

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Robo Fighters Nightwatch Optimus Prime & Elite Guard Bumblebee

Okay, there isn’t much to say about these.  They are nice sculpts and nicely repainted.  Strangely, after all this time, they even did a mold change, giving Bumblebee a battle helmet head sculpt.  That’s not really what I want to talk about with these.

Can someone explain to me why stores are still ordering these?  They really can’t have sold that well, most of the Toys R Us stores I go to have had a couple of pegs full since Christmas and they don’t seem to be moving.  How is it then that new cases with repaints and remolds are suddenly showing up over a year after the movie?  Of course, one must then ask, if these are still coming in, why the hell don’t we get Deluxe and Human Alliance Soundwave?  How about Deluxe Que and Leadfoot?  This makes absolutely no sense at all.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
