Wave One Transformers Generations Deluxes are hitting store shelves. I picked up all three, Jazz, Optimus Prime, and Shockwave.
Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Shockwave
Vehicle Mode: Definitely the best toy in wave one. Shockwave has his gun barrel on the vehicle mode. Ever since I first saw pictures of this online, I keep thought the vehicle mode looks like something else, but I can’t figure out what. One of these days, I’ll figure it out. The only problem with this toy is that the side panels don’t stay in place. Not sure if it’s a design issue or just a problem on mine. It’s not really noticeable, but I hope they fix the problem with the next use of the mold.
Robot Mode: Awesome! He really looks great. The barrel shape from the vehicle mode becomes his chest and looks very G1. His head sculpt is perfect, and I love the coloring. I would prefer his cannon arm be a simpler single barrel like G1, but that’s a small thing.
Overall: At one per case, he’s going to be hard to find, but he’s well worth the effort.
Thanks for reading!

Great figure sculpt–WAY too small. Could you imagine how cool a full-sized version of this guy would be? Even cooler if he transformed into a giant cannon or gun (like the original with 2012 quality). Oh, well. Maybe someday Hasbro will catch on again…
