Transformers: Studio Series Deluxe Class Alpha Trion (TF One)

Alpha Trion

Beast Mode: My first thought upon seeing Alpha Trion was to think he was a lion, much of which is based on the fact that he was supposed to be a repaint of Beast Machine Snarl, which was definitely a lion. Then I had to ask myself, why does a lion have a horn? Who the fuck knows? It’s about as logical as a Transformers movie about bodily autonomy. Then I though he might actually be a wolf, since the head looks more like a wolf than a lion to me, which doesn’t make the horn make any more sense. Then I read somewhere that he is a lion. Well, he doesn’t really look like a lion to me, even without the horn. So, I guess he’s a lion that doesn’t really look like one. Having said that, Alpha Trion looks pretty cool in beast mode as a nonspecific four-legged animal that might be a horned lion or a really weird unicorn or who the fuck knows what? His color scheme looks great, and his paint apps are extensive and well done.

Robot Mode: Alpha Trion looks great in robot mode. I love his head sculpt.

Overall: Recommended.
