Transformers Generations Age of the Primes Voyager Class Nexus Prime

Nexus Prime

Vehicle Mode: Nexus Maximus…I mean, Nexus Prime, is a brick with wings and jet nose stuck on the front. He looks like crap.

Unofficial Vehicle Mode: Somebody came up with a way to transform him into something considerably less stupid. Too bad Hasbro didn’t come up with this as his vehicle mode.

Robot Mode: Nexus Maximus…I mean, Nexus Prime, looks fine in robot mode. I like the head sculpt and color scheme. His paint apps are decent.

Comber Mode: So, apparently, Nexus Maximus…I mean, Nexus Prime, is meant to use Superion’s combiner kibble frame and an upcoming set of limbs to combine. That’s fine and all, but where are we going to get the combiner kibble frame? I’m not buying another Silverbolt, and his is the wrong color anyway. The four limbs already have case assignments, so they won’t include it with one of them. My friend Zab said that this maybe because there was a mandate to get all the thirteen Primes out by a certain time. So, it remains to be seen how or if we will actually get all the parts needed for this combiner.

Overall: Hard to call him a must have if we don’t have all the combiner parts, so I guess the jury on Nexus Maximus…I mean, Nexus Prime, is still out.  (If you don’t understand the Nexus Maximus joke, I recommend googling it with Safe Search turned off.)

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
