Blog #2955: Toy Review: Transformers: Generations Voyager Class Armada Nemesis Prime and Star Saber (Jetstorm, Runway, Sonar)

Transformers: Generations Voyager Class Armada Nemesis Prime and Star Saber (Jetstorm, Runway, Sonar)

Jetstorm

Maybe it’s because I never watched any of the Unicron Trilogy shows, but I never had any particular affinity for Mini-Cons. They were okay toys, but at the small size, they only get so detailed. Jetstorm looks fine, an excellent update to the original. I really don’t have anything else to say.

Runway

Sonar

Star Saber

Star Saber looks really cool.

Nemesis Prime

Previous Mold Use: Legacy Evolution Commander Class Optimus Prime

Nemesis Prime is a black repaint of Optimus Prime with a new face sculpt. While I did not watch the cartoon, as I understand it, it makes no sense that he comes with Star Saber, a sword that he never wielded. Typical Hasbro, stupidly trying to fix something they screwed up by screwing it up further.

Overall: This toy is laughably overpriced. Hasbro should be investigated (by who, I don’t know) for charging $90 for a small piece of a Commander Class toy and three Mini-Cons. That price is disgusting. I suppose, especially if you are an Armada fan, it would be hard to pass on Star Saber, but I cannot bring myself to recommend this overpriced piece of shit.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
