Blog #2786: Toy Review: Transformers United Scout Class Windcharger and Wipe-Out

Transformers United Scout Class Windcharger and Wipe-Out

Windcharger and Wipe-Out

Vehicle Mode: Windcharger was released in the USA as part of the Transformers 2010 line. It was pretty near impossible to find in the USA. This Transformers United version replaces the rub sign with an Autobot logo on the hood and has a slightly different shade of red plastic. The car design is fantastic. Paint apps are minimal, but they don’t need any more.

Robot Mode: In robot mode Windcharger and Wipe-Out look great. It’s a departure from the G1, but a nice update for the time when it was made before Hasbro tried (sometimes) to be G1 accurate.

Overall: If you have the Hasbro version, this set is not a must have. If not, it’s worth getting.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
