Cloud 9 Quakeblast (Third Party Transformers G1 Shockwave/Shackwave)

Quakeblast

Alt Mode: Quakeblast came out in 2016, and at some point, was followed by this gray Shackwave repaint. Previously I reviewed another third party Shockwave, Quakewave, you can read that review here. Quakeblast’s gun mode is a perfect G1 Shockwave, or in these colors, Shackwave. He has an alternate configuration for his barrel, which actually make him look more like Quakewave.

Robot Mode: He is just awesome in robot mode. He’s big and has weight to him, he’s a great looking toy. He does have a bit of a design flaw. This was used, so it may have been broken, and not disclosed, by the previous owner, but the real problem is how thin the gray plastic on his legs is. You need to put a lot of torque on his legs to transform him, the joints are very tight, and you need to be incredibly careful not to snap the plastic. I won’t transform him to gun mode again, it’s not worth the risk, but he looks so great in robot mode, I’m okay with not transforming him.

Overall: If you can find one at a reasonable price, and need a third party masterpiece scale Shockwave, Quakeblast is well worth getting. I like him so much, I’ve got an eye out for the Shockwave colored one.
