Blog #2396: Toy Reviews: Dairycon 2023 and 2024 Exclusives

Dairycon 2023 Exclusives

Hover 2A is a black, gray, and teal repaint of G1 Warpath. He looks great, and the packaging is a work of art. And we even get a bio. Hasbro could learn a thing or two about actually putting information about a character on the toy packaging.

Shock Sout is repainted from the Skullgrin armor that was included with Prime Master Liege Maximo. He’s now been turned into a cyclops, and like Hover 2A comes in a gorgeous box.

Headmaster Marsala is repainted from Prime Master Liege Maximo, and now sports an actual face, that of Exo-Squad’s Marsala, rather than the stupid no-face of Liege Maximo.

Fire Guts Windbreaker (the jokes practically write themselves) is repainted from a Legends Class Beast Hunters Bumblebee. He looks awesome, the paintjob is fantastic. Easily my favorite 2023 Dairycon exclusive.

My Pet Rock Lords come in a variety of rock types and are packed in a great looking box.

This years’ accessory packs include Random Axe of Kindness, Staff Exclusive, and Raw Energy Crystals.

And lastly for 2023 was the staff appreciation exclusive, Several Blown Transformers. And now, on to 2024.

Dairycon 2024 Exclusives

Crying Little Pissant might be the best convention exclusive ever. From the tech spec to the action master power plan to the instructions, it’s exquisite.

FamiComvoy transformers from Famicom game cartridge to robot. If you’ve never seen the game this is based on, you can see it here.

Jivetron transforms from record player to robot. In robot mode he reminds me of someone, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Anyway. He comes with a crate full of records.

Dairycon Sedan is made from a Kingdom Core Class Bumblebee with a new head. He looks great. He comes in a great looking box. Also available was his customizable board.

And finally, after many years of service as in the annual Dairycon Jumpstarter races, a number of the participants have been retired and become exclusives.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
