Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Deluxe Class Nightbird

Nightbird

Vehicle Mode: I love everything about the design of Nightbird’s vehicle mode, except the sword as her spoiler. It does not look like a spoiler, it looks like a sword. If the hilt were removable so it really looked like a spoiler, it would be fine. I’m not a huge fan of the brown plastic. She should be mostly black or dark gray. Switching the brown for purple might have worked too.

Robot Mode: In robot mode she has an amazing head sculpt, but again, the colors aren’t great. Too much brown.

Overall: Hopefully we will get a Nightbird properly painted down the road. If so, this is an easy skip, if not, it might be worth picking up. Of course, we may always get a better one in the Studio Series line. This toy will also be released in a single pack, which should have come out first with this three pack coming out second, but the rescheduling of the movie screwed up the schedule.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.

If you look very attentively at her robot mode, you will see, that it’s strong remolded Studio Series Shatter (car version)
