Blog #2336: Toy Review: Transformers: Studio Series: Rise of the Beasts: Core Class Wave 1 (Arcee, Freezer)

Transformers: Studio Series: Rise of the Beasts: Core Class Wave 1 (Arcee, Freezer)

Other than being really small, since she’s Core Class, Arcee looks awesome. She has great paint apps in both modes. Her motorcycle mode looks fantastic. I like her robot mode. For a Core Class toy, she’s pretty great.

Freezer looks great in robot mode. I love his face sculpt. He has four arms, which is different. He transforms into a free standing gun as well as a hand held gun. He also has a third mode to attach to Scourge’s truck bed, but I didn’t bother take a picture of it, as it’s just twisting his arms into a different configuration. Also, if you’ve read my blogs you know how I feel about accessories not coming with the toys they are meant for. If he was meant to go with Scourge, he should have been packed with him.

Overall: These are both excellent toys and well worth picking up.

Thanks for reading!

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
