Blog #2265: Toy Review: Transformers Masterpiece Movie Blackout

Transformers Masterpiece Movie Blackout

There is not much to Scorponok, he’s small, but he’s really well painted. He looks great. I really hope they give us an actual Masterpiece Scorponok, but I’m not holding my breath.

Vehicle Mode: Blackout is AWESOME in helicopter mode. He’s perfect. His weapon incorporates into his blades, each small blade on the weapon plugs in to the large rotors. They really did a great job designing him. As with most Movie Masterpiece toys, he was not easy to transform, but he was easier than a lot of them are.

Robot Mode: In robot mode Blackout looks fantastic. He’s just as bulky as he should be without being overly bulky. He hides a lot of his mass really well.

Overall: Blackout is pretty expensive, but if you are a big fan of the movies, I highly recommend him.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
