Blog #2113: Toy Review: Transformers: Kingdom: Titan Class Autobot Ark

Transformers: Kingdom: Titan Class Autobot Ark

Accessories

The Ark comes with Sky Spy, and navigator globe, two golden disks, and a micro sized Optimus Prime that can be displayed with Unicron.

Mainframe

Mainframe is a Deluxe sized robot who transformers into Teletran-1, the computer aboard the Ark. He looks great in Teletran-1 mode. I love the display screens. He looks okay in robot mode. There is nothing wrong with him, he’s just not that special. I really like the head sculpt though.

The Ark

Vehicle Mode: The Ark looks fantastic. He has great paint apps. I love the guns all over him. Some have complained about the open areas on the sides toward the back. They aren’t wrong, but I don’t think it looks too bad. You can open the top the see the bridge, but it is sized to the tiny Optimus Prime, so really, what good is it?

Robot Mode: In robot mode The Ark has similarities to The Last Autobot from the G1 comics. He looks great. My only real complaint is that he should have had a weapon, preferably weapons. He needed both a gun and sword, or perhaps a gun and shield.

Overall: We’ve been waiting a long time for an official toy of The Ark, and he does not disappoint (except in the accessories department). I can’t recommend him enough.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
