Transformers: Generations: Amazon Exclusive Galactic Odyssey Collection: Micron Micromasters (Fireguard & Roadburner, Runner & Motorhead, Stingracer & Windstorm)

Fireguard

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Direct-Hit

Fireguard uses the same color scheme as Wheel Blaze, though he is a different character. We already got Wheel Blaze as a non combiner (well planned there Hasbro). He is supposed to be a fire truck, even though he clearly is not one.

Roadburner

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Power Punch

Roadburner was the original partner to the aforementioned Wheel Blaze. He is also clearly not a fire truck. He is supposed to have a ladder, and instead has a gun. Credit for attempting to give us characters they left out, but when you do a piss poor job of it, who cares? One new ladder part would have made this passable.

Fireguard & Roadburner

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Battle Squad

They can combine, but still not into a fire truck.

Motorhead

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Ground Hog

Motorhead is one of the missing members of the Race Track Patrol. Unlike Fireguard and Roadburner, Motorhead, while imperfect (wrong type of car, wrong shade of yellow) is at least a car and recognizable, so points there.

Runner

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Roller Force

Runner, who should be called Barricade, is the second missing member of the Race Track Patrol. He is the right color and type of car, so with the exception of having the wrong name, he is a really good homage.

Motorhead & Runner

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Micromaster Race Track Patrol

They combine into a, well, I guess it’s supposed to be a gun.

Stingracer

Previous Mold User: Earthrise Micromaster Trip-Up

Stingracer looks awesome. I love this mold in orange. His car mode is perfect, and he looks great in robot mode. He is an homage to the MASK vehicle Stinger. There is only one problem with Stingracer, he is a Decepticon. Why is that a problem? Read on to find out.

Windstorm

Previous Mold User: Earthrise Micromaster Daddy-O

Windstorm is awesome. I love the flames. He is an homage to the MASK vehicle Hurricane. Unfortunately, he’s an Autobot. See the problem?

Stingracer & Windstorm

Previous Mold User: Earthrise Micromaster Hot Rod Patrol

An Autobot would not combine with a Decepticon. This is stupid.

Overall: The toys aren’t bad, and some are even great, even though some of them make no sense.

Thanks for reading!

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
