Blog #1961: Toy Review: Transformers Masterpiece Movie Starscream

Transformers Masterpiece Movie Starscream

Vehicle Mode: Starscream is perfect, or at least as perfect as you can hope for. There are some robot parts hanging under the jet, but there is only so much you can hide. It’s not bad considering how much there is to his robot mode.

Robot Mode: I never liked Starscream’s robot mode. He has this weird triangular shaped torso with really wide shoulders, but it is very detailed. The head sculpt is accurate, though I never liked that either.

Overall: Starscream looks like he’s supposed to look, so if you like Movie Starscream, he’s going to be the best version of the character we ever get, though he is, or should I say was, pricy at $150. Three weeks after release at Target he was on clearance for $75. If you collect toys, eventually you see ones you paid full price for on clearance. That’s just the way it goes, but for it to go on clearance within weeks of release, that’s just not right. If you’re going to clearance it like that, then just reduce the price to begin with and you’ll sell more of them. It’s disgusting.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
