Blog #1928: Toy Review: Transformers: Studio Series Deluxe Class Topspin

Transformers: Studio Series Deluxe Class Topspin

Vehicle Mode: Topspin looks pretty bad ass, or at least he would if his soft plastic weapons weren’t all misshapen. He looks good, but it’s hard to ignore the guns not being straight.

Robot Mode: Topspin is not bad in robot mode, but I wish all the parts hanging off his shoulders could fold up on the back of his shoulders. I think that would look a lot better.

Overall: Topspin is pretty good, and I would definitely recommend him. Having said that, I am disappointed. I would have liked to have a deluxe class non weaponized version since there has never been one. I am hoping that sometime down the road, maybe next year for the tenth anniversary of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, we’ll get the non weaponized versions.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
