Blog #1869: Toy Review: Transformers: Cyberverse Scout Class Wave 5 (Hive Swarm Bumblebee)

Transformers: Cyberverse Scout Class Wave 5 (Hive Swarm Bumblebee)

Every Cyberverse Scout Class toy sucks. They are absolute garbage due to having no actual vehicle modes.

Hive Swarm Bumblebee

Bumblebee was the only new toy in Cyberverse Wave 5. I was never able to find one when they came out, not even on eBay. Could be a lot of reasons for this. Some people may have not realized it was new, as all Bumblebee’s start to look the same after a while. I couldn’t even find one on eBay, so maybe the wave never made it to the US. Ultra Class Prowl never made it to US stores, so that’s possible. In any case, while he was not in wave 6, he did ship again in wave 7, which is how I finally found him. Bumblebee is a new mold, a rarity for Bumblebee, considering the habit of endlessly remolding one toy. In vehicle mode (if you can call it that) if you raise up his arms his guns flip out. In robot mode he might have needed a few more paint apps, but he’s not too bad looking.

Overall: Not a bad figure, but it’s yet another Bumblebee. Fr completists only.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
