Previous Mold Review: Cyberverse Warrior Class Sting Shot Bumblebee

Hive Swarm Bumblebee is a remold of Sting Shot Bumblebee. He has new weapons on both hands. I preferred the first version that actually had one hand. In my review of Sting Shot Bumblebee I said that his arm couldn’t stay in the down position. That wasn’t entirely true. It can in theory, but in practice it’s a hair trigger. It took me five tries to get the photo before his arm snapped up. Additionally, you have to lift up his chest, as pushing it down is what is supposed to trigger his arm. It doesn’t look right with the chest up. It’s an extremely poor design. The paint job on this one is inferior. They removed the black paint on his grill and the striping on his roof and on his head.

Overall: Neither of these is great, so if you have Sting Shot Bumblebee, then Hive Swarm Bumblebee is an easy skip.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
