Transformers: Cyberverse Spark Armor Elite Class Wave 1 (Bumblebee & Ocean Storm, Megatron & Chopper Cut, Optimus Prime & Sky Turbine)

Bumblebee & Ocean Storm

There is not much to Ocean Storm. He has a lot of molded details, but needed more paint apps. I’m only sure what the front is because of the tower. Bumblebee’s vehicle mode is pretty cool. Paint apps are minimal, but they did get most of his windows. In robot mode he looks fine. When Bumblebee combines with Ocean Storm he has…two extra arms. Okay, I guess. I’ve seen worse. I like the combined head sculpt. Yellow paint apps on his combined chest would have made him look better.

Megatron & Chopper Cut

Chopper Cut looks okay, except that Megatron’s mace is sticking out the side. Megatron’s vehicle mode is crap. He looks fine in robot mode. I especially like his head sculpt. He has a great head sculpt when combined with Chopper Cut as well. He, like Bumblebee has two extra arms, but they are spring loaded, so you can’t do anything with them but let them hang there.

Optimus Prime & Sky Turbine

Sky Turbine looks awesome in jet mode. I love his cannons, but I wish he had a few more paint apps. Optimus Prime looks fine in vehicle mode, and pretty great in robot mode. When combined they look amazing. He has an awesome head sculpt and I love the guns on and over his shoulders. I’m sure someone intended the cannons on his shoulders to look like extra arms, but they don’t.

Overall: Optimus Prime is far and away the best of the three. While I don’t hate the concept, Bumblebee and Megatron’s partners are pretty weak. Buy the Optimus Prime, leave the others.
