Toy Review: Transformers: Animated, Black Rodimus

Black Rodimus

Vehicle Mode: I’ve never reviewed this mold before. Rodimus has a great vehicle mode, and I love the way his weapon mounts on the roof. While the black one looks pretty cool, I do prefer the original Rodimus colored version.

Robot Mode: I have never loved the aesthetic of Transformers: Animated. Rodimus isn’t bad looking, but I don’t love it. I’m not crazy about his head sculpt, though I love his dual crossbow. Again, I think I prefer the Rodimus colored version, but this one is pretty cool.

Overall: If you don’t have any version of this mold, I recommend the less expensive and easier to find standard color version, but frankly, I’d rather the G1 myself.
