G2 Megatron

Megatron looks pretty great painted up to look like the Generation Two unreleased repaint of Hero Megatron. However, while it is accurate to the original toy, I think it’s a little too accurate. They should have continued the gray with greens striping on his arms, which would have made the sides of his tank turret the same colors. I just don’t love the white on his turret in vehicle mode, but other than that he looks great. Just because you’re doing an homage to another toy, it doesn’t mean you can’t make it better that the original was going to be.

Overall: It should be noted that the way his face is painted, it looks like they gave him blackface. Again, accurate to the original prototype, but maybe another example of being a little too accurate. They could have gone with dark purple and I really doubt anyone would have complained. This is a cool toy and a must for G2 fans.
