Blog #1492: Toy Review: Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Racers Single Packs Wave 3 and 4 (Speedster Boulder and Bumblebee)

Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Racers Single Packs Wave 3 and 4 (Speedster Boulder and Bumblebee)

Speedster Boulder

Boulder has become a muscle car. I really like the car mode. As with almost every single Flip Racer, they didn’t bother to paint the Autobot log on his chest. It’s such a small thing, but it would make him look so much better.

Bumblebee

This was a surprise. This Bumblebee showed up on pegs, and I actually didn’t buy it the first two times I saw it, since I assumed it was an older mold, as Boulder was the only Flip Racer announced at Toy Fair. I don’t think it’s in wave 3 cases with Boulder, as It looks like two distinct assortments I’ve been seeing on pegs, one with Speedster Boulder and one with Bumblebee, which is why I’m thinking Bumblebee is Wave 4.

While the package just says “Bumblebee”, he’s clearly a muscle car similar to Speedster Boulder. He’s pretty cool.

Overall: Boulder was the last Flip Racer accounted at Toy Fair, so it’s hard to know if there are more coming out after Bumblebee. This might be it until the motorized ones hit later this year.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
