Blog #1321: Toy Review: Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Racers Single Packs Wave 1 (Heatwave, Hoist, Medix, Optimus Prime)

Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Racers Single Packs Wave 1 (Heatwave, Hoist, Medix, Optimus Prime)

Heatwave

Heatwave is pretty cool. I like the paint job and head sculpt. I just wish they had painted his Autobot logo white. It is molded onto his abdomen, and you can barely see it. The same is true for the logo on top of his vehicle mode.

Hoist

Like Heatwave, Hoist needed the logo on top of his vehicle mode painted. Otherwise he looks pretty great, especially his vehicle mode paint job.

Medix

Again, Medix needed his logos painted. His vehicle mode looks great, but in robot mode he could have used a paint app or two. Maybe just painting the logo would have been enough.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime looks pretty good. I like the paint apps. As with the others he would look much better with his logo painted.

Overall: I like these. The transformation isn’t always perfect. If you just tip them up they don’t quite completely transform. You sort of have to snap them up to fully transform them.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
