Transformers 2014 Discount Legends Wave 3 (Cliffjumper, Skywarp, Ultra Magnus)

It’s taken a while, but we finally have a third wave of discount store Legends figures in the Transformers 2014 packaging.  These are only available at Fred’s Stores, which are exclusively in the south.  I hate Hasbro.

We’ve seen these molds so many times.  Kind of unfortunate that we can’t see some other ones now and then.

Cliffjumper

Cliffjumper is really cool, but I think the mold is degrading.  I couldn’t get the two haves of his hood to stay together.  Never had that problem with this mold before.  Looks nice though.

Skywarp

I don’t know what the hell happened with Skywarp.  The paint that should be purple is more blue than purple, and it’s so dark that at a distance he looks to be almost completely black.  There are two possibilities.  One, they wanted to differentiate him from the upcoming Skywarp that uses the new Legends mold.  Two, some idiot screwed up.  I’m betting on two.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see these showing up with corrected paint.  Considering how hard they are to get, that will really piss me off.

Ultra Magnus

I’ve never liked Ultra Magnus with the white legs.  The whole repaint Optimus Prime as Ultra Magnus thing is because the original G1 Ultra Magnus toy uses an Optimus Prime cab painted white.  ALL WHITE.  His legs should be white.
