Transformers: Rescue Bots Salvage

It feels like it’s taken me forever to track down Salvage.  I still don’t have the Optimus Prime and Blurr that were in the same wave (I think, I’m still not clear on the assortments).  A friend found them for me, but they are still in the mail.

I really like Salvage.  I love his colors, the green and blue look great.  He’s short and fat and reminds me a lot of Dark of the Moon Leadfoot in that way.  He’s got a good head sculpt, and I love the molded logo on his grill.  Like all Rescue Bots transforming toys at this scale he has a simple transformation where you move one or two parts, in this case his arms, and everything else transformers automatically.  His vehicle mode is very cool as well.  They are doing such a good job with toys at this scale, I really wish we could get more new characters.  Doing a few that don’t appear in the show wouldn’t be the end of the world.  We seem o get more and more random toys, often large ones like the Optimus Prime Dinobot (which was awesome), the two foot tall Optimus Prime, and the non transforming Heatwave Dinobot.  They should just stay with what works.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
