Transformers: Age of Extinction Power Attackers Wave 1 (Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Strafe, Hound)
Power Battlers seem to take the place of Cyberverse Commander Class. They are smaller than Deluxes and all have an action feature.
Power Battler Bumblebee
Bumblebee’s car mode looks great. His robot mode is decent, but because he has the punching action feature, his arm cannot be put at his side. It’s not awful, but it’s not wonderful. I feel like with a little more design work, this could have been great.
Power Battler Crosshairs
Crosshairs is the same basic design as Bumblebee, accept it’s his right arm that punches. Pretty much like Bumblebee, he’s got a great car mode, and a decent robot mode marred by his arm that he can’t put down at his side.
Power Battler Strafe
I love Strafe! He looks great in both modes. He’s got excellent paint apps and a nice head sculpt. I wish his wings folded up a little more in robot mode, but it’s not a big deal. Definitely the best in the wave.
Power Battler Hound
Hound looks great in both modes, but he has a minor design flaw. In vehicle mode, part of his gun hangs down so far under the vehicle that it is almost as low as the bottom of the wheels. There is virtually no clearance. It’s not a major issue, but a minor modification to his gun and this would not have been a problem.
Overall: I really like these. They lack the detail of the Deluxe toys, but are well worth getting.
