Transformers: Age of Extinction Dino Sparkers Wave 1 (Drift & Slug, Bumblebee & Strafe, Optimus Prime & Grimlock)

After all these years, Firecons! Well, not exactly. The sparks stay on the inside and light up the dinosaur, but it’s the same idea as Firecons. Nothing here that transforms, and the robot figures are soft-ish plastic with no joints, but these are pretty cool, if only for having the Firecon sparking feature. The sparking would definitely be fun for kids.

Dino Sparker Drift & Slug

Lots of details on the Slug mold. I wish he had some more paint apps, but you can only expect so much from a toy like this.

Dino Sparker Bumblebee & Strafe

Strafe is a little odd. He’s nearly completely translucent, unlike the others which are more opaque. I love the color though, and with the wings he’s nice and big.

Dino Sparker Optimus Prime & Grimlock

Grimlock is the weakest of the three. Seems like a T-Rex lying down on a rock.

Overall: If you want to get one, get Drift & Strafe, but this line is for completists only.
