Blog #457: Toy Reviews: Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Changers Chase and Heatwave

Transformers Rescue Bots Flip Changers have a pull out bar on the back of the car to wind the motor.  When released, the top of the vehicle springs up, propelling it to flip over and roll up onto it’s feet.  Essentially they are Jumpstarters that are really big and far less fun.

My one major complaint about these is that they are huge.  They should have made them a quarter to a half the size.  At $22 these guys are incredibly overpriced.  If they were smaller and $10, they would still be crappy toys, but at least they wouldn’t be expensive crappy toys.

It should also be noted that I don’t even know how these passed toy safety standards.  The spring is quite strong to flip it over, if a kid has his face right above it when it goes off, it’s going to hit them pretty damn hard.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
