Transformers: Prime Beast Hunters Legion 2013 Wave 3 (Windrazor, Rippersnapper, Blight)
Windrazor
Vehicle Mode: Cutthroat has had his name changed to Windrazor, either due to trademark issues or because they thought the name was too violent. If it’s the former, then I understand, it happens. If it was the latter, it was a really stupid thing to do.
Aside from the name though, he’s got an awesome creature mode. He’s big for a Legend with the large wings. I kind of wish his arms folded up better so that his wings looked like they were actually connected to his body, but it doesn’t look bad.
Robot Mode: He’s got a nice robot mode, and a particularly nice head sculpt. The wings connecting to the back of his forearm does make it a little awkward to move his arms.
Rippersnapper
Vehicle Mode: Rippersnapper’s creature mode is kind of ridiculous looking. Nothing really good here.
Robot Mode: In robot mode he looks pretty good, especially compared to his creature mode.
Blight
Vehicle Mode: Blight, another name change from Blot, has a really great creature mode, that almost is better than his G1 toy. That’s a really rare thing. The yellow highlights really look great.
Robot Mode: As much as I like Windrazor, I think Blight is definitely the best of the series.
Abominus
Robot Mode: Finally we have all five parts of Abominus to assemble. He’s no G1 Abominus, that’s for sure. Still, he’s decent, better than I expected. I had to assemble him from pics online since he doesn’t come with instructions. Arms can be swapped, as can his legs, but not for each other. This doesn’t bother me so much, but it is notable.
As there are no instructions, I put the gun together in a way that looks good. It remains to be seen if they will have gun assembly instructions with the Target Exclusive box set.
