Xing Bian Zhanshen Deformation Combination (G1 Bruticus)

Bruticus is a knockoff of Iron Factory War Giant, with a lot of changes, most notably adding an additional bot to become his feet and reducing “Onslaught” to the size of his teammates and adding a jet to become Bruticus’s head and shoulders. I don’t have the Iron Factory version, so I can’t specifically tell you how different it is, but from pics I’ve seen, it seems significant. Can’t remember exactly what I paid for it, but it was pretty cheap. His color scheme would fit right in with G2, while not using Bruticus’s actual G2 color scheme. I have made up names for the additional bots as it amused me to do so.

“Blast Off”

Blast Off looks great in shuttle mode. Not sure I love purple for him, but its nod bad. He looks great in robot mode. He has lots of shiny silver paint. He has a great head sculpt.

“Brawl”

I love Brawl’s tank mode though his turret seems a little small. He looks great in robot mode and I love the head sculpt.

“Swindle”

Instead of being a jeep, Swindle is an armored Humvee. I love the yellow and wilver color scheme. Robot mode and head sculpt look great.

“Vortex”

Vortex’s helicopter mode is okay. I don’t love his hands sticking out the way they do. I do love the colors. He looks great in robot mode.

“Flattop”

Flattop, as I’ve chosen to call him, looks awesome. I love his aircraft carrier mode. In robot mode he is gray and silver and looks great. I love his head sculpt.

“Onslaught”

Onslaught’s vehicle mode front end and back end look great, but in the middle he’s just Bruticus parts. He doesn’t look bad, but little effort was made to make that look like part of a truck. His gun looks very cool. In robot mode his red and silver color scheme looks great, and I really like his head sculpt.

“Jetwash”

Jetwash (“Talk to me goose.”) looks great. I love his jet mode and the blue and silver color scheme. His head sculpt looks great.

“Bruticus”

Bruticus look really great. Vortex’s tail is supposed to be folded down, but I think he looks better with it up so both his shoulder stick up.

Overall: For the price, this is a really cool toy well worth picking up.
