Blog #2831: Toy Review: Transformers: Authentics Crash and Combine Bumblebee and Optimus Prime

Transformers: Authentics Crash and Combine Bumblebee and Optimus Prime

Bumblebee

Previous Mold Use: RID Crash and Combine Dragstrip

So they needed Bumblebee as legs so they repainted Dragstrip into Bumblebee. They could have at least given him a new head.

Optimus Prime

Previous Mold Use: Buzzworthy Bumblebee Crash and Combine Optimus Prime, RID Crash Combiners Optimus Prime, RID Crash Combiners Lunar Force Optimus Prime, RID Crash Combiners Optimus Prime

They keep painting this mold better each time they release it. That’s not saying much, because the toy is at best okay.

Combined

Previous Mold Use: Buzzworthy Bumblebee Crash and Combine Optimus Prime and Grimlock, RID Crash Combiners Optimus Prime and Grimlock, RID Crash Combiners Lunar Force Optimus Prime and Lunar Force Strongarm, RID Crash Combiners Optimus Prime and Strongarm, RID Crash and Combine Dragstrip and Wildbreak

It looks like Optimus Prime is wearing half a Bumblebee costume.

Overall: For completists only.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
