Blog #2825: Toy Review: Transformers: Legacy United Leader Class Soundwave with Buzzsaw, Rumble, and Ravage

Transformers: Legacy United Leader Class Soundwave with Buzzsaw, Rumble, and Ravage

Buzzsaw

Previous Mold Use: Siege Battle Master Laserbeak, Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Battle Master Laserbeak, Shattered Glass Battle Master Laserbeak, Dramatic Capture Series Battle Master Laserbeak

It took long enough, but we finally got a Buzzsaw from the Earthrise Laserbeak mold. He looks great, I really like the painted beak.

Ravage

Previous Mold Use: Siege Battle Master Ravage, Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Battle Master Ravage, Shattered Glass Battle Master Ravage, Target Battle Master Bullseye

Ravage is a minor repaint of The last version of Ravage, but his gray parts are now black.

Rumble

Previous Mold Use: Studio Series Transformers the Movie Core Class Rumble, Studio Series Transformers the Movie Core Class Frenzy

Rumble looks great now sporting a more toy accurate color scheme.

Soundwave

Previous Mold Use: Siege Voyager Class Soundwave, 35th Anniversary Voyager Class Soundblaster, Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Voyager Class Soundwave, Selects Voyager Class Soundblaster, Legacy Voyager Class Soundwave, Shattered Glass Voyager Class Soundwave, Dramatic Capture Series Voyager Class Soundwave

Soundwave has just minor deco difference from the Dramatic Capture Series Soundwave.

Overall: The only real selling points of this set are the Buzzsaw and more toy accurate Rumble. Ravage and Soundwave aren’t that different from previous releases. I can’t say this set is for completists only, but it’s hard to call it a must have either.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
