Blog #2691: Toy Review: Transformers One 1-Step Changer Iacon Race 3-Pack (Megatron, Mirage, Optimus Prime)

Transformers One 1-Step Changer Iacon Race 3-Pack (Megatron, Mirage, Optimus Prime)

Megatron

Previous Mold Use: Cyberverse One Step Changer Megatron

When I first saw this set, I assumed this was how Hasbro was going to get rid of all the unwanted Cyberverse One Step Changers. Then I realized they were all remolded and repainted, so points to Hasbro for that. However, having said that, his vehicle mode looks a little like the Movie’s now with the extended treads, but his robot mode really doesn’t.

Mirage

Previous Mold Use: Robots In Disguise One Step Changer Blurr, Cyberverse One Step Changer Blurr

Blurr has a new head, but otherwise his robot mode mold is unchanged. In vehicle mode the front of his car has been remolded to give a suggestion of Mirage. It looks like he is trying to give birth to a formula one car. It’s actually a little disturbing.

Optimus Prime

Previous Mold Use: Cyberverse One Step Changer Energon Axe Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime’s chest has been remolded to better match how he looks in the movie. His truck cab has been similarly remolded. This is a better paint job than the original, but that’s not saying much.

Overall: For completists only.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
