Blog #2687: Toy Review: Ocular Max Sphinx (Transformers G1 Mirage)

Ocular Max Sphinx (Transformers G1 Mirage)

Mirage

Accessories: Mirage includes a parachute that he used in More Than Meets The Eye Part 3. He also comes with additional heads, but I seem to have misplaced that photo.

Vehicle Mode: Mirage looks awesome in vehicle mode. He has rubber tires which is always a plus and he has die cast metal parts, so he has some weight to him. This is the PS-01C version that looks like him in animation, so he does not have the additional sticker details the toy has.

Robot Mode: Mirage looks great in robot mode. I’m not sure what more you could want in a Masterpiece Mirage

Overall: Not only does Mirage look great, but he’s reasonably priced. You can get him for $100, or less if you look around. That is a great price for a Masterpiece scaled toy with die cast metal parts. And let’s face it, Takara/Hasbro is never going to give us one.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
