Vehicle Mode: In train mode Kaen mostly looks great, but the robot parts in the middle of his vehicle mode on both sides look like shit. He needed some more design work. Hell, I’d have been fine if those parts had been turned into accessories so the vehicle mode would be better.

Robot Mode: Unlike his vehicle mode, in robot mode Kaen has a great head sculpt. He really looks fantastic, but I wish he had a few more paint apps. He’s very gray.

Overall: Kaen is absolutely gorgeous in robot mode and has major issues in vehicle mode. While a challenge to transform, he is a lot easier to transform than the Masterpiece version. While overall Takara went for real world accuracy in vehicle mode, Moon Studios were more faithful to the toys and animation, but really blew it on Kaen’s vehicle mode. Masterpiece Kaen’s vehicle mode is highly superior. Having said that, there is no question which of them is better when combined, so I highly recommend him.
