Grimlock

Grimlock looks great. His colors are perfect, I love his t-rex and robot head sculpts. He has a G1 accurate gun and a very cool sword with the blade painted metallic silver. The sword blade is not exactly the shape of the G1 toy’s, but it looks very cool. All the Dinobots have a metallic silver sword that doesn’t match their G1 toy.

Slag

I love Slag’s metallic red horns and silver plate. He looks really great in stegosaurus mode. In robot mode he looks fantastic. Colors are perfect and I love his head sculpt. His gun seems to be based on his G1 box art, but in black instead of silver.

Sludge

Sludge looks great in brontosaurus mode, but one of his side panels keeps popping open. He looks great in robot mode. His gun seems to be based on his G1 toy’s missile launcher.

Snarl

My favorite Dinobot, Snarl looks awesome in stegosaurus mode. In robot mode his gun looks to be based on the G1 toy, but shorter. In robot mode he really looks great.

Swoop

Swoop’s dinosaur mode is fantastic. I love that he has his dual missile launchers. In robot mode, I don’t love his face. He looks confused and surprised for some reason.

Overall: This set was like $140, but all of a sudden they got cheap. I think I paid $40 on Ali Express. This is the “Happy New Year Edition”. I don’t know if the regular boxed set is different, but I suspect it might have a blue Swoop. The pics on both boxes are the same and both show a blue Swoop, so I’m thinking that’s the only difference. Glad I ended up with this one, I prefer Swoop in red. If you can get one for around $40, this is a great set. I would never have paid full price for it.
