Blog #2612: Toy Review: Transformers Infobar Bumblebee and Megatron

Transformers Infobar Bumblebee and Megatron

Bumblebee & Megatron

Previous Mold Use: Transformers Infobar Optimus Prime

Back in 2017 Takara released a transforming cell phone Optimus Prime. It was meant to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of that real phone. You can read more about how stupid it is in my blog on the Optimus Prime. Bumblebee and Megatron look slightly better in robot mode as the buttons aren’t in random colors, but that’s not saying much. They look like shit in robot mode.

Overall: Funny story how I got these. I was at Dairycon last year and see these boxes on a table that I don’t recognize. Once I figured out what they were, I have zero memory of every buying the Optimus Prime. I mean, it’s such crap, it’s easy to forget. They were pretty cheap. I think $40 each, so I had to complete the set, but this is for insane completists only. There is a white Optimus Prime, but the mold is identical to Optimus Prime, so mercifully, I can skip it.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
