Blog #2598: Toy Review: Transformers: Legacy United Deluxe Class Quake with Heater and Tiptop

Transformers: Legacy United Deluxe Class Quake with Heater and Tiptop

Heater

Heater has decent paint apps in robot mode.

Tiptop

Tiptop is equally well painted.

Quake

Previous Mold Use: Legacy Deluxe Class Skullgrin, Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder Multipack Deluxe Class G2 Cybertronian Trooper

Quake looks fantastic in robot mode. He could have used a few more paint apps, but I love his head sculpt. In tank mode, yikes. It’s like he’s the base of a tank with a bunch of crap piled on top and a turret on top of that. It’s not pretty.

Overall: We deserved a better Quake than this. This is a case where altering an existing mold instead of creating a new one was more important to Hasbro that doing the toy right. I’d rather they didn’t do it at all if they can’t do it right.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
