Transformers: Legacy Evolution Titan Class Armada Tidal Wave

Armada Tidal Wave

City Mode: Like nearly all Transformers bases, Tidal Wave’s base mode is eh.

Combined Vehicle Mode: Tidal Wave is either a space ship with an aircraft carrier on the front, or an aircraft carrier that someone glued a hunk of space ship to. Having said that, if you don’t think his vehicle mode is weird looking, he is accurate.

Separate Vehicle Modes: Tidal Wave separates into Dark Fleet, consisting of an aircraft carrier, a landing craft, and a battleship. I rather like the aircraft carrier and battleship, but the landing craft has a significant design flaw. The two halves don’t connect together well. They fall apart if you look at them funny. The connectors just aren’t enough to hold the two sides together.

Mini Separate Vehicles: Hidden inside Tidal Wave are smaller, simplified versions of the Dark Fleet. These are meant to combine with Megatron.

Robot Mode: In robot mode Tidal Wave is pretty cool. His paint apps give his muted plastic colors some brightness. He has no hand weapon, which always bugs me.

Overall: If you love Armada, you’ll want Tidal Wave. He’s decent, but it’s hard to forgive that design flaw.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
