Blog #2542: Toy Review: Transformers: Legacy Evolution Core Class Wave 3 and Wave 4 (Scarr, Swoop, Snarl)

Transformers: Legacy Evolution Core Class Wave 3 and Wave 4 (Scarr, Swoop, Snarl)

Scarr

Scarr is an IDW creation. If I ignore that, his ankylosaurus mode looks fine considering the small scale. In robot mode he is a brick with a head.

Swoop

Swoop looks pretty great in pteranodon mode. I just wish his feet didn’t stick up so much on his back. He looks good in robot mode, but I wish he had G1 weapons rather than Volcanicus’s fists.

Snarl

In stegosaurus mode Snarl looks awesome. The plates on his back could have been a hair larger, but at this scale that’s probably too much to ask for. My only complaint about his robot mode is his tail. The way it splits you see the inside of it rather than the outside. Probably not something easily fixable, but it bothers me.

Overall: Since all combiners are a must have, these guys are as well.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
