Dinosaur Mode: Grimlock is awesome in dinosaur mode. He is one of the most G1 looking Grimlocks I’ve ever seen. He’s got gold and silver chrome parts, lots of molded details. I love the rivets along the side of his face. He is super bad ass. He has a big chunk of combiner parts that are supposed to clip onto his back with weapons on it. I tried for an hour and I couldn’t get it to connect. Not sure if it’s a problem the molding on mine or a design issue.

Robot Mode: In robot mode it’s much the same. He has lots of molded details, gold chrome and the clear plastic on his chest. His head sculpt is perfect.

Overall: This is the best G1 Grimlock I’ve ever seen. The Masterpiece toy tried to recreate the original G1 toy, this one tries to give us more. He’s big, detailed, and looks the part. Plus, unlike the G1 toy, he combines. I can’t recommend him enough.
