Blog #2490: Toy Review: Fansproject Browning II (Third Party Transformers G1 Highbrow)

Fansproject Browning II (Third Party Transformers G1 Highbrow)

Browning II (AKA Highbrow)

Headmaster: He’s got a great head sculpt. In robot mode his paint apps are minimal.

Vehicle Mode: I don’t love Highbrow’s helicopter mode. It’s really blocky with lots of angles that don’t serve any purpose. I’d have likely a sleeker look, but he’s not awful.

Robot Mode: Whatever his vehicle mode lacks, his robot mode more than makes up for. He looks fantastic. I didn’t love his guns on his shoulders when I first saw it, but it’s growing on me.

Overall: Fansproject Headmasters are around ten years old now and predate Titans Return. As with older third party toys, they do not try to recreate the original G1 toy exactly, but to reimagine them. They can be had quite a bit cheaper now than when they came out, so if you’re looking, definitely shop around. I definitely recommend Highbrow.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
