Blog #2484: Toy Review: Fans Hobby Huntsman (Third Party Transformers G1 Stalker)

Fans Hobby Huntsman (Third Party Transformers G1 Stalker)

Powermaster

Stalker comes with a Powermaster because he’s based on Fans Hobby’s Doubledealer. I don’t have a Doubledealer, but I wish I did.

Huntsman (AKA Stalker)

Vehicle Mode: In vehicle mode Stalker is perfect. Stalker is technically a G1 toy as he came out the year before G2, but he looks like a G2 toy and that’s how I always think of him. Like the Powermaster, the ability to tip back his missile for a vertical launch is an artifact of being a remold of Doubledealer.

Robot Mode: In robot mode he is impressive. Rather than having a separate gun, his missile separates into two pieces. I like the design choice. It really is too large to make sense on his shoulder.

Overall: Huntsman was a TFCon exclusive. He’s well worth picking up.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
